4. Josh Rosen will take over the FBS lead in passing touchdowns

Last week, Rosen’s four touchdown passes put him in a tie for third nationally in touchdown passes among FBS quarterbacks. He currently sits three scores behind Missouri’s Drew Lock for the national lead in the stat. Lock, though, will be playing South Carolina this weekend and is unlikely to have another seven-touchdown day in the air against the Gamecocks.

That leaves the door open for any number of prolific passers to seize the day around the country. Ross Bowers, Kenny Hill, Shea Patterson, and Quinton Flowers could all have big days in Week 2. Even then, it is going to be Rosen that takes over the national lead in passing touchdowns this weekend.

Hawaii’s secondary gave up just 275 passing yards and two touchdowns to Andrew Ford of UMass in Week 0. They turned around and held Tyrie Adams of Western Carolina rack up 270 yards and a touchdown. It would seem as though the Rainbow Warriors have things figured out on defense fairly well already this season.

But that won’t last for long, as Rosen wreaks havoc on defensive coordinator Legi Suiaunoa’s unit. Look for multiple receives to have multiple touchdowns for the Bruins on Saturday, as Rosen reaches double digits in the category just two games into the season.
