The Clemson Tigers and Auburn Tigers face off in a primetime top 10 matchup that should be a good one.

The third-ranked Clemson Tigers beat the 13th-ranked Auburn Tigers 19-13 last season but things look a whole lot different in 2017 on both sides.

Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant passed his first test in Week One against the Kent State Golden Flashes. Bryant threw for 236 passing yards and a passing touchdown in his debut under center.

He looked good using his legs as well, running for 77 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver Deon Cain caught two receptions for 70 receiving yards and a touchdown to fuel the offense.

Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham didn’t play bad either in his debut at quarterback. He had 185 passing yards and two passing touchdowns in their 41-7 victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles.

Their bread and butter came in the running game as they had 351 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in the game. The Auburn Tigers had three turnovers in the game, though.

Keys to victory

Two very good defenses will face off looking to take bragging rights in the ACC versus SEC talk. Whichever team can get the most pressure on the quarterback will have the upper-hand and the first team in that regard that comes to mind is the Clemson Tigers.

Clemson linebacker Kendall Joseph should have a big game anchoring the Clemson defense. He had six tackles and a tackle for loss in Week One.

The Auburn Tigers have a fierce running game. Running backs Kerryon Johnson and Kam Martin had 136 rushing yards and a touchdown each. Auburn could be without Johnson but running back Kamryn Pettway returns from suspension as well.

If the running game can keep the Clemson defense off-balance, Auburn could have a shot to pull off the upset.

Prediction

The Clemson Tigers and Auburn Tigers are two very good teams and it will show on Saturday night. It’s tough to call this one but it’s also hard to pick against head coach Dabo Swinney

Swinney pulled off a shocker last season in the National Championship so picking against his gameplan hard to do. It will be close, but Clemson should escape by a possession.

Final score: Clemson 34, Auburn 28
