Here’s how to stream college football’s premier pregame show, College GameDay, as they broadcast live from Columbus for Oklahoma vs. Ohio State.
Last week, fans were treated to a pair of College GameDay broadcasts. However, neither felt like the real thing. The first broadcast took place on a Thursday night inside the stadium. The second was in the normal timeslot but was at a neutral site. This week we get back to normal.
The College GameDay crew is going live from the Ohio State campus for Week 2 for the No. 2 Buckeyes’ game against No. 5 Oklahoma. Both teams enter the game after Week 1 wins and with College Football Playoff aspirations. The Buckeyes, despite a slow start against Indiana, are 7.5-point favorites against the Sooners.
The Buckeyes were featured in the GameDay season opener at Indiana. The show last came to Columbus to close out the regular season last year when Michigan came to town. ESPN can only hope for a game that good this time around. Ohio State won a 30-27 overtime thriller over the Wolverines. This will be Ohio State’s 39th time featured on GameDay and 16th time hosting the show. That ties it with Alabama for most in both categories.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for both Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso. Herbstreit was the Ohio State starting quarterback and co-captain his senior year in 1992. Corso’s first ever mascot headgear pick was Ohio State in 1996. Herbstreit’s connections with the school allowed for the procurement of the “Brutus” head and a tradition fans cannot imagine a time without was born.
