Lee Corso made his selection for Week 2. Did he choose the favored Brutus Buckeye or the Sooners on the road?

More: Who was the Week 2 guest picker on College Gameday?

Lee Corso made two picks last week and both Ohio State and Alabama made him look smart. This week College GameDay is in Columbus for No. 5 Oklahoma against No. 2 Ohio State.

Corso has picked the Buckeyes 24 times. The only team he has picked more is Alabama. It worked out for him in Week 1 against Indiana. Corso has picked against Oklahoma more than any other school. However, picking against Oklahoma has proved costly for America’s favorite prognosticator. The Sooners have gone 11-4 when he takes the other side.

These two teams met a year ago in Norman, and it was not exactly competitive. J.T. Barrett threw for four touchdowns on just 152 yards to lead the Buckeyes to the 45-24 win. Ohio State entered that game as a slight road favorite. This time around the Buckeyes are 7-point favorites.

Not everything is the same from that game a year ago. Bob Stoops retired and handed the reins over to 34-year-old first-time head coach Lincoln Riley. Joe Mixon, who had a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in last year’s game, is now with the Cincinnati Bengals. On the Ohio State side, Mike Weber ran for 123 yards on 18 carries in last year’s  game. This year he will be playing behind freshman phenom J.K. Dobbins, who had 181 yards rushing in the season opener.

Last week, Oklahoma cruised to a 56-7 win over UTEP. Baker Mayfield completed 19 of 20 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns. The Sooners outgained the Miners 676 yards to 167 yards. Ohio State struggled a little more with Indiana but pulled away in the second half for the 49-21 win. The Buckeyes actually trailed at the half.

Let’s go to the pick:
