Michigan football notched its second win of the young season over the Cincinnati Bearcats, 36-14. It’s time to overreact.

The No. 7 Michigan Wolverines put together a good enough second half to overcome the Cincinnati Bearcats in their home opener. Boos reigned down from the stands on multiple occasions in Michigan Stadium while Cincinnati hung tough early in the game.

However, it did not take long for head coach Jim Harbaugh to find the way for Michigan to put away the Bearcats. The Wolverines went on a 12-0 run in the fourth quarter to seal the 36-14 victory.

When it comes down to it, Michigan is undefeated with two wins over two quality opponents. Both games were easily won by double-digit margins. Yet, both games had the Wolverines on upset alert at some point.

Cincinnati quarterback Hayden Moore had a tough time finding any room to work. Moore completed less than half of his passing attempts. He also threw for less than 150 yards with only one touchdown and two interceptions.

Even the Bearcat rushing attack did not have much luck. Senior running back Mike Boone led Cincinnati with 44 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. Michigan held the Bearcats to less than 70 yards on the ground.

With Ohio State’s loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, Michigan could now establish themselves as the favorite in the Big Ten, alongside the Penn State Nittany Lions. We’re setting up for some really close and exciting matchups in the Big 10 this year.

Now, let’s take a look at five overreactions from Michigan’s Week 2 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats.
