3. TCU will upset Oklahoma State

Obviously TCU has SMU to focus on this coming week as the return home for that in-state matchup, but I’m looking ahead to what could be the game of the week in Week 4. Teams don’t land a 3:30 p.m. spot on accident. TCU is the real deal, or at least television analysts thinks so.

Oklahoma State is an offensively heavy team. They have a strong, veteran quarterback in Mason Rudolph who is simply dynamic with the ball in his hands. However, a strong defensive performance by TCU, paired with the depth issues Oklahoma State is currently playing with, could spell an upset of a top 10 opponent.

As mentioned above, it will all come down to the play of Kenny Hill and the strength of the TCU defense. If the Horned Frogs can hold Oklahoma State like they did Arkansas, they will prove once and for all that they are a contender this year.

In an offensive heavy league like the Big 12, defense is huge. If TCU can sustain this level of strength in their defense throughout the season, Oklahoma State won’t be the only team they upset this season.
