Just when you think the Missouri offense might have turned a corner, they score only 13 on South Carolina. Now, the Gamecocks have a great defense, but to go from 72 points in game one, to 13 in game two, that doesn’t look good. But, the Tigers still have a lot to play for in 2017.

Despite the loss, Missouri can still compete for a bowl game, but the offense has to get more consistent. And the Tigers defense has to just show up. Missouri even fired their defensive coordinator this weekend. They couldn’t stop Missouri State, and South Carolina was effective as could be on offense. If Missouri is going to continue to improve then it will need to start on the defensive side of the ball.

Just when you though things really couldn’t get worse for Kevin Sumlin in the eyes of Aggies fans, A&M goes out and sleep walks a win in against Nicholls State. Sumlin needed a galvanizing effort after the detrimental loss to UCLA, but that didn’t come. If anything, the Aggies were just lucky to win the game.

Texas A&M can continue to improve this season but the offense will need to kick it in gear, that will come with more experience under center with Kellen Mond. The defense is most surprising to me, you expect more out of a John Chavis defense. The game might have been ugly, but at the end of the day at least A&M got the victory. They have the talent to test some teams in the SEC, they just need to put all the pieces together.

Florida did not play Northern Colorado as the game was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.
