After scoring a 33-14 victory against Pitt in Week 2 of the season, Penn State football must now prepare for Georgia State in Week 3.

The Penn State Nittany Lions’ Week 2 game against Pittsburgh didn’t exactly go as planned.

In the team’s first home game of the season, and first home game against Pitt since 1999, Penn State’s defense struggled to stop the Panthers’ power running game, and while the team’s offense struggling to consistently move the ball due to limited time of possession and inconsistent quarterback play from starter Trace McSorley.

However, the team’s Week 3 game against Georgia State should allow the team to address these worries head-on.

The No. 5 Nittany Lions will face off against a Georgia State Panthers team that has only existed in the FBS for eight years, and has failed to record a single winning record in its programs history at this level.

With neither a compelling offense or defense, James Franklin’s squad should be able to impose their will in Happy Valley up the Georgia State Panthers and hopefully correct some of the issues that surfaced in Week 2 before heading off to Iowa City to face a tough Iowa Hawkeyes squad for the first game of their Big Ten schedule.

With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for Penn State’s Week 3 game against Georgia State.
