No. 10 Wisconsin heads to Provo for its first road game of 2017. Here are 3 bold predictions for the Saturday showdown between the Badgers and BYU.
After opening the season with wins against Utah State and Florida Atlantic at Camp Randall Stadium, No. 10 Wisconsin takes its non-conference schedule on the road for the first time this season. The Badgers head to Provo to face a BYU team reeling from consecutive losses to No. 12 LSU and nearly-ranked Utah.
The Cougars fancied themselves a national powerhouse in the making when they left the Mountain West to go independent. Seven years later, they are already staring at another season squandered in that quest. Already 1-2, BYU is fighting just to return to .500 in this game. The Cougars are good enough to go to a bowl game, but even with a total meltdown across the country on par with 2007 BYU is probably already out of the New Year’s Six running.
Now they get a third try to take down a Power Five team. Kalani Sitake and his staff prepare for the visit of one of the nation’s top teams, but do they have a team that can actually hang with a squad like Wisconsin?
