After defeating Cincinnati, Michigan football must now shift their attention to Air Force. Here are 3 bold predictions for the Wolverines and Falcons in Week 3.
Michigan’s defense has been one of the biggest surprises in all of college football season. After fielding the best defense in all of college football last season, the team lost all but one starter in the offseason. But through the first two weeks of the 2017 season, it doesn’t look like Wolverines’ defense has missed a step.
Defensive coordinator Don Brown’s squad is currently ranked ninth in the nation in total defense, third in the nation against the run, and tied for first in scoring defense with three defensive touchdowns. In week three of the college football season, the Wolverines will face off against Air Force.
Unlike the team’s previous two opponents, Air Force possesses one of the best running games in the entire country. They are currently ranked number one overall in total rushing yards with 473 yards and seven touchdowns in only one game.
If Jim Harbaugh’s squad intends to continue their undefeated streak as they enter Big-Ten play, they will need to win the battle at the line of scrimmage in Ann Arbor, control the game clock with their schedule based, pro-style offense and continue to terrorize opposing offenses both in the offensive backfield and in the defensive secondary.
With that in mind, here are three things to watch in Michigan’s week three game against Air Force.
