The UCLA football program gets their final non-conference test of the season as they face the Memphis Tigers, out of the AAC, in Week 3.

The UCLA Bruins finally cracked the top 25 rankings before Week action begins. Coming in at No. 25, UCLA enters their matchup with the Memphis Tigers favored by three points. However, this will be no easy game for the Bruins.

Memphis is one of the best Group of Five teams in the country and UCLA has to travel to Tennessee to play them. However, UCLA took down one of the better Group of Five teams in the country when they handily defeated the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors last week by a score of 56-23.

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen was already a huge name entering the season. Yet, his 890 passing yards and nine touchdowns so far has solidified him as a legitimate superstar. Rosen tossed five touchdowns in the victory over Hawaii.

The Tigers have a quarterback of their own who can hang tough. Riley Ferguson is one of the most talented quarterbacks on any Group of Five team. However, he’ll have one tall task keeping up with Rosen and the UCLA air attack.

UCLA’s defense needs to hold strong against what seemed like a monster Memphis ground game from their Week 1 victory over Louisiana-Monroe. Memphis running back Darrell Henderson totaled 169 yards and two touchdowns on the ground against UL-Monroe.

This is a great chance for UCLA to prove their worth as an actual contender in the PAC-12 South. The No. 4 ranked USC Trojans are the front-runner in the division and the conference right now, but UCLA looms large as a roadblock.

Now, let’s take a look at three bold predictions between the UCLA Bruins and Memphis Tigers in Week 3.
