5. Notre Dame won’t allow any running room for Eagles

The ability of Notre Dame’s defense to stop Georgia’s rushing attack with the threat of a quarterback in Fromm being able to take the top off the defense was more than impressive. As a team, the Dawgs only managed 4.3 yards per carry.

The main spark of the BC offense comes from their ground game. However, their leading rusher, Thadd Smith, has barely rushed for more than 100 yards through the first two weeks. Projected starter Jon Hilliman is only averaging 2.5 yards per carry.

There’s not a single BC running back that has a rushing touchdown this year. Quarterback Anthony Brown has thrown for the three offensive touchdowns. Yet, even Brown has more turnovers than he does touchdowns with four interceptions.

Against a motivated Irish defense, BC will have to come with their best rushing attack of the year. Notre Dame’s front seven proved they can handle facing the best of the best and BC should be a much easier opponent than Georgia.
