Oklahoma State Football vs. Pittsburgh: 3 bold predictions
3. Pitt rushes for more than 200 yards
Penn State did a great job last week shutting down the most explosive part of the Pitt offense. They held starting Pitt running back Qadree Ollison and the Panther rushing attack to 3.4 yards per carry and only 155 yards.
Considering Pitt has enormous trouble moving the ball when they have to rely on their passing attack, that makes the ground game tremendously important. Max Browne threw for 138 yards and was eventually benched for backup quarterback Ben Dinucci.
However, Browne gets the start again this week. However, his leash should be very short. That makes the run game a first priority for head coach Pat Narduzzi this week. There’s a lot of pressure on Ollison’s shoulders.
With the lack of depth in the Oklahoma State linebacking corps. Calvin Bundage will miss the first half from a targeting penalty in the second half of the South Alabama game. Kenneth Edison-McGruder is also likely not to pay with injury issues.
