2. Mason Rudolph throws for more than 450 yards

Last year, Mason Rudolph threw for a single-game Oklahoma State record in passing yards. He completed 26 of his 46 passes for 540 yards and two touchdowns. Nearly 300 of those 540 yards went to James Washington, including a huge 91 yard touchdown to start the game.

Big leads capped Rudolph’s stat line the last two weeks. The Pokes defeated South Alabama 44-7 and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 59-24. This week, the game should be closer which means more reliance on Rudolph and the air attack.

It should be easy for Rudolph to throw for more than 400 yards, at least, with how good he looked in the first two weeks. He has receivers like LSU transfer Tyron Johnson, itching to produce at a higher level against a weak Pitt secondary.

A big game from Rudolph would also open up the Pitt front seven for sophomore running back Justice Hill to exploit. Hill had a rough game against South Alabama and showed last year that it’s hard to keep him from being productive two weeks in a row.
