Oregon Football: Preview, prediction, live stream vs. Wyoming
Fresh off its victory over Nebraska, Oregon football hit the road to face Wyoming. Here is our preview of the game, and how you can watch online.
Oregon’s 42-35 victory over Nebraska was crucial for a program clawing its way back to the heights it was just two years ago. Oregon’s tumble in the college football ranks has been a story to watch since last season.
But as of now, the Ducks are on their way back. They just have to make sure they can stay there and continue to improve along the way. There’s no doubt the Ducks are better, but they’ll be tested by Josh Allen and his lethal command of the Cowboy offense.
Speaking of Josh Allen, this game will give Allen yet another chance to show what he can do against a power five team. The 2017 season opening game against Iowa left a sour taste in the mouths of many NFL pundits. People who had pegged Allen as a sure fire first-rounder, suddenly weren’t sure of his abilities.
This matchup against the Oregon Ducks gives the quarterback another shot at showing his command of the offense, and just why many saw Allen as a great up and coming NFL prospect.

Keys to Victory
For the Oregon Ducks, the key to victory is simple. Play sound defense. The Ducks defense is still a work in progress, as the Nebraska game was very indicative of. The Wyoming Cowboys may not have an entirely put together full array of talent, but Josh Allen more than makes up for it. The Ducks will have to get after Allen and get him uncomfortable early on if they want to have any success. The Oregon offense is a completely different story.
The offense has looked great so far into the season, which is good for Oregon fans to see compared to last year. Royce Freeman has been a touchdown machine at running back, with six TD’s already on the season. Justin Herbert will be counted on to play a clean game. If he can, the offense should have no problem moving the ball on Wyoming.
For Wyoming the obvious key to a win is through Josh Allen. He can get the offense to score points and should do well against the Ducks defense. Meaning that if the Cowboys are to get a win, then they’ll have to be great on defense. Wyoming does get homefield advantage and they can use that to their advantage on defense, but they will have to create turnovers and limit the Ducks run game. If they cannot slow the offense of Oregon, then it could be a long day.

Prediction
This is a game that I feel Wyoming can be competitive in simply because of the talent of Josh Allen. The only problem will be the talent around him on offense and the competency of the defense and whether they can get off the field on third down or create turnovers on Oregon. That’s where picking the upset becomes hard for me, because despite what Oregon’s defense may give up, i’m not as confident about Wyoming can do on defense. Which leads me to pick Oregon to leave Laramie with the victory.
Final Score: Oregon 46, Wyoming 27
