TCU Football: Preview, predictions, live stream vs. SMU
After getting into the AP Top 25, TCU football will be looking to improve to 3-0 on the season with a win over SMU.
Following a big win over Arkansas, TCU football is headed in the right direction. The Horned Frogs have jumped into the AP Top 25, settling in at No. 20, and will look to improve to 3-0 with a victory over SMU on Saturday afternoon.
Kenny Hill leads the way for TCU once again as he’s in his final season with the Frogs — I know, it seems like he’s been there forever. He’s accounted for over 400 total yards and four touchdowns this season, and could have a big game against SMU’s lackluster defense.
The Mustangs, on the other hand, have one of the top weapons in all of college football at the receiver position, but will the be enough to down the Horned Frogs on the road?

Keys to Victory
It’s hard to believe, but TCU has what looks to be a respectable defensive so far this season. The Horned Frogs have struggled on that side of the ball for years, but they are now trending in the right direction. If they want to avoid an upset here, they need to continue that and lock down Courtland Sutton. He’s one of the top wide receivers in the country and will need to be shut down or else it’ll be a long day for the Frogs.
Ben Hicks is off to a solid start to his sophomore season for SMU, but his accuracy could use some improvement. If SMU is going to have a chance in this one, the Mustangs need to ensure they protect their quarterback so he has plenty of time to his his top target. And we all know that top target is Sutton. They won’t be able to stop TCU, so they’ll just have to try and out-score them.

Prediction
Sutton is going to put on a show against TCU despite being on the losing end of this battle. The elite wide out will torch an improving Horned Frogs defense and finish with 150 yards on 10 catches. On the other hand, Kenny Hill will have himself a day for the Frogs and avoid the turnover bug, accounting for 350 total yards and four scores. The Horned Frogs will gain more steam heading into conference play.
Final Score: SMU 20, TCU 41
