The Notre Dame football team didn’t have a hard time winning over Boston College this week. Here are 3 takeaways from their 49-20 victory.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now 2-1, bouncing back from their 20-19 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs last week. The Fighting Irish saw a dynamic duo form in Week 3.

Quarterback Brandon Wimbush and running back Josh Adams both ran for over 200 rushing yards against the Boston College Golden Eagles. Although Wimbush only had 96 passing yards and an interception, he overcame those shortcomings with a big day on the ground.

The Golden Eagles trailed at halftime 14-10 but they seemed to run out of gas against Notre Dame, who simply kept pouring it on. They were outscored 35-10 in the second half and allowed over 600 yards of offense, something that used to be a rarity for this defense.

Notre Dame football seems to have turned a corner on the road this week. Their defense forced three turnovers and the offense was difficult to stop if Josh Adams or Brandon Wimbush had the ball.

It’s a step in a positive direction for the Irish, for now. Here are three takeaways from the game.
