Texas A&M Football: Position report card for Aggies in Week 3
The Texas A&M football program was reeling entering their matchup with ULL, but their 31 second half points proved something can go right.
No coach is on a hotter seat right now than the head man for the Texas A&M football program. Kevin Sumlin needed a huge victory against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns this week. However, that did not pan out as expected.
Texas A&M was put on upset alert in the first half of the game, as ULL led the Aggies 21-14. True freshman quarterback Kellen Mond did have a pretty good stat line but did not have the performance that many expected.
Once the offense started gaining some momentum, the Aggies started to pull away in the second half. Both Mond and the Aggie rushing attack started to find its way. Running back Kendall Bussey had himself quite the game as well. We got to see something from freshman rusher Jacob Kidobi as he led Texas A&M in rushing by the end of the game.

Texas A&M went on a 31-0 run in the second half that got the Aggies a 45-21 victory. While the Aggies were on upset alert in the first half, they pulled away big time in the second. Sumlin’s job should be safe, at least for one more week.
This can help build momentum for the Aggies as they enter SEC play next week. Their first SEC opponent, the Arkansas Razorbacks, struggled to compete with the No. 20 ranked TCU Horned Frogs in their last game, but they should be well rested after their bye week.
With the victory, Texas A&M notched the first comfortable result of the season. Things could start moving in the right direction with this type of performance.
Now, let’s take a look at the positional report card for the Texas A&M Aggies after their big win over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns.
