WR. Texas A&M. WIDE RECEIVERS . C+.

For the third consecutive week, All-American wide receiver Christian Kirk did not play a big role in a game. Kirk caught only three passes for 34 yards and one touchdown. A 76-yard catch by Damion Ratley highlighted the day for the Aggie receiving corps.

Jhamon Ausbon finished second in receiving yards on the day with four catches for 69 yards and one touchdown. Ratley led the Aggies in receiving with 86 yards on two catches and no touchdowns. Most of those yards came from a big catch in the first half.

For Mond to continue to progress, the Aggies need to continue to give him support from the receiving corps. Sumlin also needs to find a way to help Mond get Kirk the ball more. It’s always better when you find a way to put the ball in the hands of your best playmakers.

In total, no Texas A&M receiver finished the day with more than four catches. However, they still provided plenty of help to Mond. It was not so much a bad performance from the receiving corps, as needing to find a way to get playmakers more involved.
