Clemson football put itself atop the ACC Atlantic division with a dominant victory over the Louisville Cardinals, 47-21.

The third-ranked Clemson Tigers were on the road in their game against 14th-ranked Louisville, but they certainly didn’t play like it.

The Tigers set the tone on offense with a touchdown on their first drive of the game. Quarterback Kelly Bryant ran for an eight-yard touchdown to put Clemson up 7-0.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals would answer right back a few drives later. Jackson connected with an 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Charles Standberry to tie the game at 7-7.

Clemson would go on to miss a field goal but scored again to take the lead 10-7. Meanwhile, the Louisville offense stalled, punting four straight times before the half ended.

On the other side, Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant was just warming up, throwing a 79-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud to put the Tigers up 16-7.

The Tigers would go on to score on another field goal to put their lead at 19-7 before halftime.

In the second half, things got out of hand for the Louisville Cardinals in a hurry. On their first possession of the half, Jackson threw an interception to linebacker Dorian O’Daniel who returned it 45 yards for a touchdown.

Louisville punted on their next possession and the Clemson Tigers offense drove right back down the field to go up 33-7. The Cardinals attempted a comeback putting the score at 33-14 but the Tigers came right back to score on a 39-yard rush by running back Adam Choice.

Here are three takeaways from the Tigers victory.
