On this version of “Film Don’t Lie” we break three plays down that have been used over the first three weeks of the college football season.

As long as we waited for it to get here, college football just finished Week 3 of the 2017 season. It’s flying by way too fast for my taste. In these three weeks I’ve seen a few plays I thought would be fun to teach because I enjoyed watching them ran to perfection.

Offensive coordinators take a myriad of approaches to playbook design. I’m going to explain them using generic terms because I won’t even pretend to know their calls.

Some coordinators like to use west coast verbiage and numbering which tags every aspect of the play, while others use a 1-word tag. An example is Brad Kaaya‘s Gruden’s QB Camp appearance. He shortens Rex Gun Spread 15 Base Razor to LeBron to run it left and Jordan to run it right.

We’re now going to look at three plays that have been ran across college football over the first three weeks and break them down for you focusing on Clemson, Georgia Tech and Alabama.
