1. QB J.T. Barrett

Quarterback J.T. Barrett took a lot of criticism in the Week 2 loss to Oklahoma. He was questioned on his ability to pass as well as his ability to lead this offense. He answered those calls and then some with his performance against Army.

Barrett went 25-of-33 passing with 270 passing yards and two passing touchdowns while also rushing for 32 rushing yards and a touchdown in the game. He was a lot more poised than last week’s 31-16 loss where he had no touchdowns through the air and an interception.

Barrett continues to develop a rapport with his receivers in the passing game. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Austin Mack caught their first touchdowns of the season, while K.J. Hill led the way with eight receptions for 74 receiving yards.

The Buckeyes put over 586 yards of offense and had no turnovers in the game and Barrett also broke a record.

He surpassed quarterback Drew Brees as the conference’s all-time leader in touchdowns responsible for with 107 and counting. Not a bad day for Barrett considering all the scrutiny he faces.
