1. Mason Rudolph might actually win the Heisman

Quarterback Mason Rudolph’s nearly 500 passing yard and five touchdown performance showed the complete overwhelming nature of this offense. He put on a clinic in the first half against Pitt and showed why he could possibly be the best quarterback in the country.

However, Rudolph does have a while to go before he can eclipse Mayfield as the clear cut best quarterback. In total, Rudolph has thrown for 1,135 yards and 11 touchdowns with only one interception.

Rudolph faces his toughest test of the season this weekend in TCU. The defense for the Frogs is one that head coach Gary Patterson will have ready when they face the high-powered Cowboy offense. It won’t be easy for Rudolph and the Pokes.

The Heisman Trophy is something that’s an honor to even be mentioned as a finalist for. If Rudolph takes Oklahoma State to new heights, like the Playoff, with the type of numbers he’s putting up now, he’ll be a finalist.
