2. Austin Allen throws 28 touchdown passes

The fact that the Arkansas offense will always be run-first means that senior quarterback Austin Allen needs to take advantage of his opportunities where he can find them. So far, Allen has thrown for less than 300 yards and two touchdowns.

The main focus for Allen should be avoiding turnovers. Against SEC West opposition, Arkansas cannot afford to lose the turnover battle in any conference game they play in this season.

Last year, Allen compiled 25 touchdown passes with 15 interceptions. Allen has the ability to be a game-changer and an effective leader for this offense. Consistently taking care of the football is a challenge that he did not overcome against TCU two weeks ago.

If nothing else, Allen has improved over the last two years to the point of becoming a potential All-SEC type quarterback. However, the touchdown numbers need to hover around what they did last year while the interception numbers come down.
