4. Chase Hayden leads the country in rushing among true freshman

The Arkansas backfield will be a combination of three players getting touches for the bulk of the season. That will include Devwah Whaley, David Williams, and Chase Hayden (a former four-star recruit).

There has been no other running backs that have gotten carries for the Razorbacks this year. Some receivers have carried the ball a few times, but they’re not officially listed as running backs.

This is where Hayden comes into play. Opposing teams are likely to prepare more heavily for Whaley and Williams. That’s where Hayden can really make a name for himself when other teams do not expect him to do much.

Hayden showed against Florida A&M the type of running back he can be. He even earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors from that performance. His role was limited against TCU but look for him to make a big impact in SEC play and even be among the nation’s leaders among freshmen in rushing yards.
