1. Mason Rudolph continues to prove doubters wrong

Big 12 quarterbacks have struggled to garner NFL hype this year. Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield is considered to be too small to make it at the next level and TCU’s Kenny Hill is considered too reckless. However, Mason Rudolph has the size and arm strength to make it.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Rudolph is a “day 3” quarterback in the eyes of some NFL scouts because of his lack of consistent passing accuracy and arm strength. It seems like all Rudolph has done this season proves that is not true, but he does have some work to do.

Hill and Rudolph meet for one of the more underrated quarterback matchups of the weekend. Rudolph is not as good of a runner as Hill but he is known to be a better passer. Both of these quarterbacks could get their shot to play in the NFL.

Expect both quarterbacks to play with a chip on their shoulder for multiple reasons. One being the levels of doubt seemingly still present among NFL scouts. Another, more importantly, being the immediate impacts for each team.
