Oregon football is 3-0 after that disappointing 4-8 season. The Ducks head to Tempe to face the 1-2 Sun Devils and here are some bold predictions.

The Ducks are 3-0 and sitting at 24th in the S&P+. Oregon football  has put up some great numbers scoring 45.5 points per game and holding teams to 24 points per game. That’s over 12 points more scoring than in 2016, and a decrease in a little under 20 points per game in points allowed.

Arizona State is ranked 65th in the S&P+ sitting at 1-2 on the season. Pac-12 play has arrived already and it’s anyone’s season with Stanford losing to San Diego State and USC.

A poorly coached Ducks team beat ASU 54-35 a year ago under Mark Helfrich. With Justin Herbert playing like a Heisman Trophy watch candidate and Royce Freeman looking like a first-round pick again the Ducks will be hard to stop for the Sun Devils.

The Sun Devils’ loss came from the same Aztecs that beat Stanford so let’s not look too far into that 1-2 record. ASU lost 30-20 to SDSU two weeks ago and to Texas Tech a week ago 52-45. The Devils will have to score on an improving Ducks defense and stop the explosive offense Willie Taggart has put together in such a short time in Eugene.

The Oregon Ducks are back in the top 25 and here are my three bold predictions heading into Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.
