Louisville football has a favorable matchup to bounce back from a Clemson loss against Kent State in Week 4.

The Louisville Cardinals are fresh off of a battle against the Clemson Tigers. Well if you watched it wasn’t much of a battle after the first quarter, as Clemson went on a 26-0 run before Louisville made it slightly interesting.

This was a main primetime ACC game, matching up No. 3 Clemson against No. 14 Louisville at Papa John’s Stadium in Louisville and they didn’t show up. Louisville was picked by many this team to challenge for the ACC title this season, while their season isn’t over Clemson made a huge statement knocking off Louisville at home Saturday night.

The Cardinals need to rebound in a big way against Kent State on Saturday and with Kent State on the schedule, that looks likely. Lamar Jackson also needs to get back on the Heisman Trophy leaderboard after the difficult loss, but no one is ruling him out of contention.

Can Jackson and Co. come back and put a hurt on the Golden Flashes to help fans forget about the rough loss in Week 3? It will take a blowout to do so, but that’s not out of the question.

Saturday they will face Kent State to try to right the ship and I have three bold predictions for the game.
