Ohio State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. UNLV in Week 4
After defeating Army in Week 3, Ohio State football must now prepare for a Week 4 game against UNLV. Here are three bold predictions
After losing a heart-breaker to top 10 opponent Oklahoma, many national pundits wrote off Ohio State.
When as many as six teams could finish the 2017 college football season with an undefeated record, it seemed like the Buckeyes’ Week 2 loss to the Sooners could haunt them for the remainder of the season, especially if they want to return to the College Football Playoff.
And after the loss, things only got worse.
The team dropped from No. 2 to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 after the loss, and even after pummeling a weak Army Squad by a score of 38 to 7 in Week 3, Ohio State still dropped two additional spots, from No. 8 to No. 10. With little hope of that number rising until they face off against No. 4 Penn State on Oct. 28.
While the Buckeyes do anything about the strength of their schedule, they can still prove they’re one of the best teams in the nation by consistently dominating opposing teams in an impressive fashion, and their Week 4 game against UNLV should give the team a great platform to do just that.
While UNLV has improved slightly over the past few seasons, it is still a team that will struggle to finish with a .500 record in the Mountain West Conference, and is simply out-matched against one of the top teams in the nation.
And if Urban Meyer wants to, he can use this game to run up the score on an under-matched opponent and make a statement.
With that in mind, here are three bold predictions Ohio State’s Week 3 bout against the UNLV Rebels.
