After blowing out Georgia State at home, Penn State will now travel to Iowa to face off against the Hawkeyes. Here are 3 bold predictions for week 4.

After winning nine of their last 10 games to close out the 2016 season, fans and pundits alike wondered if Penn State would be able to carry that momentum into the 2017 season. So far, they have done just that.

In their first three games of the season, the Nittany Lion’s offense has outscored opponents by a combined score of 141 to 14, None of their games have been even remotely close.

Head coach James Franklin has been able to rotate players in across both sides of the line of scrimmage and has given young players valuable in-game experience that will surely come in handy down the stretch. However, in Week 4 of the college football season, Penn State will face their first true test of the year in a road trip against in-conference opponents the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa, who also holds a 3-0 record in 2017, has one of the best home field advantages in the entire nation. This will surely serve as a litmus test for just how prepared James Franklin’s squad looks when facing off against a quality opponent.

If the Nittany Lions win in impressive fashion, something that is totally within the realm of possibility, it will show that Penn State hasn’t just been bullying lesser opponents. It would go a long way to proving that they are in fact a true contender for the College Football Playoff. It will also put in-conference opponents like Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio State on notice.

Here are three bold predictions for Penn State’s Week 4 game against Iowa.
