West Virginia football can get one step closer to getting itself back in the AP Top 25 this week if it dominates the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Big 12 kicks off its conference action this weekend with three games. The weekend’s biggest game is the No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowboys taking on the No. 16 TCU Horned Frogs at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla. There’s two other games going on in the Big 12 including West Virginia facing Kansas and Oklahoma taking on Baylor.

There’s some real buzz around this West Virginia football program that they can take another step forward after a 10-win season last year. Head coach Dana Holgorsen has his offense clicking with former Florida transfer quarterback Will Grier leading the way.

This rounds out three weeks of easy games for West Virginia since falling just short of the Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 1. Since then, West Virginia has scored at least 55-points in both of their matchups against the Delaware State Hornets and East Carolina Pirates.

Meanwhile, the Kansas Jayhawks won their first game of the year against Southeast Missouri State but lost their two contests since. The Central Michigan Chippewas and Ohio Bobcats each put up at least 42-points and defeated the Jayhawks by a double-digit margin on both occasions.

West Virginia is a 21-point favorite over the Jayhawks. The edge that the West Virginia offense has over the Kansas offense. While West Virginia could end up being one of the most productive offenses in the country, Kansas could even make Big 12 defenses look good.

Now, let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the West Virginia Mountaineers against the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 4.
