Texas A&M Football: Aggies are a lock to beat the Razorbacks in SEC opener
Texas A&M football takes on Arkansas in yet another must win for Kevin Sumlin and his staff. Here’s why the Aggies will prevail once again over the Razorbacks.
In what can be deemed this year’s Hot Seat Bowl, Kevin Sumlin of Texas A&M squares off with Bret Bielema of Arkansas. It’s not win or go home, per se, but it’s getting closer and closer to that point. Neither of these teams is among the SEC elite, and frankly that’s part of the reason that each of these men is on the hot seat to begin with.
The Aggies (2-1) have struggled mightily out of the gate. Ever since a fourth quarter collapse of epic proportions against UCLA in their season opener, things haven’t been clicking for Texas A&M. They were tied with Nicholls State in the fourth quarter in Week 2 and trailed Louisiana-Lafayette at half time last week.
Arkansas (1-1) opened their season with a win over Florida A&M, thanks at least in some part to some rather bizarre penalties against the Rattlers. Their second game came against TCU. They were beat soundly and never really developed any sort of offensive rhythm.
Both programs and both coaches need this win. Here are five reasons why Kevin Sumlin is going to come out on top in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.
