Washington football and Colorado meet on Saturday in a rematch of last year’s Pac-12 Championship. Which team will get its first conference victory?

When Washington and Colorado last met, things didn’t really heat up until the second half. The Buffaloes were tied with the Huskies at a touchdown apiece after one quarter. Jake Browning’s first of two touchdown passes put Washington ahead 14-7 at the half, but Colorado was still right there in the battle for the conference crown to win.

Then the third quarter began, and the bell pealed midnight on Colorado’s Cinderella story. The rout began with the first of Sefo Liufau’s three interceptions. Cameron Van Winkle returned that pick 35 yards to put the Huskies up 21-7, and they never looked back.

While plenty of players return to the defending Pac-12 division champions, Mike McIntyre and Chris Petersen will not square off with identical rosters from last year’s battle in the Bay Area. Both teams lost a lot of defensive talent and some key playmakers on offense. Nevertheless, they are both 3-0 at this point and ready to do battle on the gridiron once again.

The Buffaloes have the home-field advantage, but defending conference champion Washington is still favored by 11.5 points on the road after last year’s rout. Will the Huskies manage to pull off a similar blowout to last year’s Pac-12 title game, or will Colorado pull off the upset at home to mark themselves as conference contenders this year? Click ahead to read three bold predictions for the #Pac12AfterDark thriller between Washington and Colorado on Saturday night.
