Jaylen Samuels scored a superman-like touchdown for NC State football as the Wolfpack took an early lead over Florida State.
If you don’t know the name Jaylen Samuels yet, that’s an absolute shame. The NC State football star has been one of the best all-around players in recent ACC memory. The Wolfpack have been lucky enough to have a guy like him on offense to feed the ball to early and often.
Heading into a huge ACC contest against Florida State on the road, the Wolfpack knew they would need Samuels to be on top of his game. He answered the call early on as he was a star in the first quarter.
Samuels scored his 37th career touchdown in the first quarter to extend the Wolfpack’s lead to 10-0. The way he did it was impressive, though.
On fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line, Samuels lined up in the backfield and took a handoff — a play that Florida State knew was coming. He ran into what looked like a pile and seemed to get stuffed, but the referees signaled touchdown as he dove over the goal-line for the score.
