4. Dante Pettis adds two more touchdowns

Senior wide receiver Dante Pettis is having no trouble replacing departed superstar receiver John Ross as the primary target in Washington’s offense. Not only has Pettis been a threat in the passing game, he’s be one of the most valuable special teams weapons, if not the most valuable, in the country.

Last week against Fresno State, Pettis tied the NCAA career record for punts returned for a touchdown. Pettis is a threat to score every time he touches the ball, no matter which facet that comes in.

In total, Pettis has caught 12 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns. He might not put up the same type of numbers that Ross did as a receiver last year. However, anything that Pettis is lacking in receiving stats he makes up for on special teams.

Pettis has the ability to be the biggest x-factor and game breaker in this one. He’s already eclipsed the total amount of punts returned for a touchdown that he had last year, with three through three games. Pettis only had two last season.
