West Virginia football continues to roll after its third straight week of sitting down their competition. Here are three takeaways from their win vs. Kansas.

West Virginia’s win over Kansas is the latest in what has been an impressive run by the Mountaineers over the last few weeks. After following a 56-20 win over East Carolina with a 59-16 victory over Delaware St., the Mountaineers kept pace with a 56-34 win over the Kansas Jayhawks.

West Virginia’s offense was effective once again, putting up 635 total yards against a struggling Kansas defense. The defense struggled at times but did enough to give their proficient offense the opportunities to put the game away.

The game began to take a turn late in the third quarter when Kansas broke a few big plays leading to a touchdown that would send the game to 35-27. However, a more complete West Virginia team was able to quell the comeback bid before it became anything more.

With West Virginia now moving to 3-1 on the season, here are three takeaways from today’s victory.
