With another half to play, Washington finds itself in a defensive battle on the road at Colorado. The rematch of the Pac-12 championship game looks a lot like the first half did in Santa Clara last year. If things go to form as they did last year, this should be a runaway victory for the Huskies in the second half.

As long as that happens, Washington will remain in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 this week. They will remain in the polls regardless, but if they lose it would drop the Huskies at least eight spots down the rankings. Colorado would also jump into the AP Top 25, though that is unlikely to happen if this result holds.

Washington will not make up much ground on the other contenders for the College Football Playoff berths with a result like the halftime score. But if they pull away for a double-digit win on the road, it would bolster their chances at climbing up into the top five in the next few weeks.
