In Week 4, Penn State pulled off an incredibly unlikely victory against Iowa with only four seconds to go. Here are five overreactions from the win.

Penn State football is back, baby.

After all of the naysayers throughout the week doubted that Penn State savior James Franklin’s squad was legit, the Nittany Lions marched out onto Kinnick Stadium and put up an incredibly unimpressive showing.

At least until the last play of the game, when Trace McSorley, who struggled for much of the game with inconsistency, pulled off a miracle to keep his team’s undefeated streak alive in the first week of conference play.

Unlike in last season’s heart-breaker against USC in the Rose Bowl, Penn State came up clutch when it mattered most and pulled of a miraculous victory.

Even though outsiders will say that Penn State should have destroyed an outmatched Iowa squad in impressive fashion, and deserves to have dropped in the AP poll following such a poor showing, a win is a win — and Penn State won.

And fans and players alike should be proud of that.

A 4-0 record looks and feels a lot better than a 3-1 record, just ask Ohio State, and had the team lost in Week 4 it would have seriously affected its chances of making an appearance in the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.

Even though watching a game with a critical eye is important, sometimes it’s important to revel in the little things of a game, so here are five complete overreactions to Penn State’s Week 4 victory over Iowa.
