5. TCU is now the Big 12 favorite

TCU notched the biggest win of maybe any team in college football over the weekend. Oklahoma State looked like a legitimate Playoff contender and TCU handled them on the road. Continuing that level of play is the tough part now.

With a bye week coming this week, TCU has a chance to rest and recover before they have another tough battle ahead against the West Virginia Mountaineers. However, West Virginia’s offense can be contained if the Frogs were able to take care of the Cowboys.

The only thing standing in the way of the Frogs and the Big 12 Championship is the Oklahoma Sooners. Right now, OU is still the clear favorite, but they do not have a conference victory, yet, the magnitude of TCU’s over the Pokes.

This win for TCU is nearly of the level of OU’s over the Ohio State Buckeyes earlier in the season. However, it’s still not clear who’s better between Oklahoma State and Ohio State. This conference could be decided on Nov. 11 when OU meets TCU.
