Texas A&M Football: 5 Aggies who earned game balls vs. Arkansas
By Shelbie Warr
For the sixth straight year, Texas A&M football found a way to beat Arkansas. Here are my five game ball recipients for outstanding Aggies in the matchup.
Once again, the Aggies found themselves in a shoot out with the Razorbacks. Some players shined while others faded into the background. Some things went right while others went terribly wrong. However, just enough went the Aggies way for them to leave Dallas victorious.
After the blown lead against UCLA, Texas A&M has been searching for an identity on both sides of the ball. They have begun to find it, though they still have a long way to go. Between strides of improvement from Kellen Mond and Keith Ford finding a grove all his own, the Aggies may have found what they need on offense.
However, their tendency to start slow may just come back to bite them as the season goes on.
While this win was fun to celebrate as it lasts, the Aggies have to go back to the office for another SEC matchup on Saturday night at Kyle Field. Texas A&M takes on South Carolina in a cross divisional match up as both teams try to figure out where their season is headed.
The Aggies may have a lot to work on, but a few guys really stood out on Saturday morning against Arkansas. Before I get into the five helmet stickers, I have to give one honorable mention to Aggie kicker Daniel LaCamera, who hit all three field goal attempt asked of him including the big one as time expired to tie the game up at 43. As the Aggies are struggling to establish consistency, anything of the kind should be celebrated.
