Texas A&M football has been searching for identity since the puzzling Week 1 loss to UCLA. They may be rebounding with an OT win over Arkansas.

Once again, the Aggies found themselves in a shoot out with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Texas A&M has struggled mightily this season since a huge blown lead against UCLA threw them for a loop they weren’t prepared for. However, despite the loss of a starting quarterback and the sheer lack of experience on the squad as a whole, the Aggies are starting to figure it out.

As Coach Sumlin said in the interview above, this game was a great indicator of where the Aggies are mentally as they head into the more challenging portions of SEC play. Veterans like Christian Kirk and Armani Watts stepped up big time on Saturday, but that is expected of them. If the Aggies wants to continue any kind of success, everyone has to play their part and make their plays.

While close games are fun and exciting, that isn’t what Texas A&M needs or wants. This team has the talent of a championship level program, its the execution that tends to be lacking. However, all ended up right on Saturday afternoon and Texas A&M seems to be trending in the right direction.

After the back and forth battle that ensued at AT&T Stadium, here are my five “overreactions” from the heart stopping match up.
