3. Soso Jamabo is back and better than ever

After missing a couple of games with an injury, Soso Jamabo returned to action on Saturday against the Cardinal and played well. In fact, he recorded his first 100-yard game of his three-year UCLA career, which is what people expected to be the norm when he committed as a highly-touted recruit out of high school.

Reaching 100 yards for the first time in his UCLA career had to feel good and it probably took the monkey right off his back, but it’s just one game. In order to declare him “better than ever” he needs to group together a few 100-yard performances.

What was the most impressive from Jamabo’s 100-yard showing was the fact that he reach that total on just 12 carries. Even when Jim Mora tries to ruin any potential run game, the Bruins have been finding ways to be effective.

Mora needs to establish more of a rushing attack with Jamabo, but he will need more than 12 carries next week, especially when he’s averaging 8.3 per touch. I get that the Bruins were playing from behind, but come on, coach.
