Big Ten Football Power Rankings 2017: Week 5 edition

After another great week of Big Ten football, time to look at the power rankings heading into Week 5.

We are nearing the end of the first month of college football and there were three Big Ten conference match-ups from this past Saturday in addition to more non-conference games. Will any results cause significant movement in this week’s power rankings?

Purdue and Iowa were trendy picks to upset their opponents, but both ultimately fell. Both Michigan State and Maryland laid eggs at home. Ohio State’s offense seems to be rolling now, but considering the competition, not many are paying attention.

Week 5 will bring nothing but conference games so we will really start to see some separation of the teams from top to bottom. For now, let’s take a look at how the conference shakes out after Week 4 action.
