Louisville Football: 5 overreactions in their win against Kent State
By Jesse Smith
3. Louisville moved up in the polls
Louisville is currently ranked No. 19 in the country and they rebounded after a huge loss to Clemson and it resulted in a little jump in the rankings. However, it was more so the losses by Florida State and Mississippi State helped Louisville jump up.
The rest of the season will be tough for Louisville because they only have two more teams that may be ranked and that is could be iffy. The two teams they need to play well against are Florida State and Kentucky. The Wildcats should have beaten Florida, but they had some stupid breakdowns. That kept them out of the polls this week.
Honestly, Louisville needs a lot of help from Clemson and after watching them play last week I wouldn’t bet on it. With that being said Louisville needs to put themselves in a position to be ready if they do slip up. Now sitting at No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the Coaches Poll, they are still relevant, so that’s good for moral, but at the end of the day they need to blow out all marginal teams and beat the two teams I mentioned if they are going to have any hopes to win the ACC Atlantic.
