Keys to Victory

Baylor needs to be able to do something that they have yet to do this year and that is stop the run. Kansas State is averaging 230 yards per game on the ground while Baylor is giving up 236 yards per game. If the Bears can manage to take away run game and force Kansas State to throw the ball then Baylor will have a chance to get a win.

Offensively Baylor will have to have repeat performance from last week. The Bears scored 41 points against Oklahoma and Zach Smith had a career day with 463 yards passing and four touchdowns. Baylor also needs to get Terrence Williams going early to establish rushing attack.

Prediction

The first half will be slow and methodical with very little scoring.  At halftime Kansas state will lead 14-7. The second half will be more scoring and Kansas state will take a 17-7 lead to start third quarter but Baylor will score late in quarter to cut lead to 3 points. Another week of late game heroics by Zach Smith and this time Baylor comes away the victor.

Final Score: Baylor 24, Kansas State 20
