3. Sam Darnold does not throw an interception

USC sophomore quarterback Sam Darnold has nearly thrown as many interceptions through four games as he did through more than 10 games last year. Darnold tossed only nine interceptions last year. Meanwhile, he’s already thrown seven in 2017.

Even with Darnold’s struggles to consistently throw accurately, he’s still led the Trojans to an undefeated 4-0 (2-0 Pac-12) start. As long as he does what the Trojans need him to do to win games, he’ll keep the fans happy.

Yet, it feels like Darnold has got to get back on track at some point. No point would be better than in the national spotlight during a Friday Night game. It would also prove that Darnold and USC can win on the road without problem.

Washington State will definitely challenge the offensive scoring capability of the Trojans. The Cougars have not been held to under 45 points during their last three games. Darnold will need to put up some serious points while minimizing mistakes.
