2. Nick Fitzgerald recovers with four total touchdowns

Mississippi State is in need for a recovery effort for the entire team’s confidence. A 28-point loss in the national spotlight is the type of thing that can crush an upstart team. This squad seems like it can make a good run under Fitzgerald this year.

However, everything starts with Fitzgerald. He led them to the win over LSU, along with a good performance from the offensive and defensive line. And, he was shutout against the Dawgs last week.

If the run game delivers for the Bulldogs this week as well then everything else could open up for Fitzgerald. Mississippi State’s ground game was held under 5.0 yards per carry and the running backs managed less than 130 yards against Georgia.

Fitzgerald seems like the type of quarterback that is hard to keep down. Even with his poor stat line against the Dawgs, he still has 12 total touchdowns through four games. He’ll put up big numbers against this Auburn defense.
