Last week’s projection: Washington vs. Wisconsin

Like last week and until there is any other further movement when it comes to teams and projections in front of them, Washington and Wisconsin are just waiting for someone be upset or multiple losses to occur. The Washington Huskies and Wisconsin Badgers are the biggest fans of whoever plays Penn State along with opponents of teams in the playoff.

In some ways, the Badgers and Huskies are like Georgia as in the fact that they are just waiting for anybody to go down at this point. Any type of movement helps but when nothing is happening, you’re just waiting there. What’s going to really make things interesting for both schools is the month of November. Survive till then and things could be happening.

Week 5 Impact: Wisconsin’s hold pattern hits a little turbulence this week with a visit from the Northwestern Wildcats in one of the week’s more entertaining showdowns. Washington has an easy game at Oregon State but then hosts Cal the following week in a game that might be more interesting than most expect.

Unless something happens that nobody sees coming, expect both teams to sit here for a while. Another factor that could split this matchup is the rise of San Diego State. If the Aztecs can continue to make their way up the rankings, it improves their chances to play closer to home for a NY6 Bowl.
