Both the Texas A&M Aggies and South Carolina Gamecocks could have a say in what happens in their respective divisions in the SEC. Texas A&M is putting together a decent run now after head coach Kevin Sumlin was put on the hottest seat in college football.
Meanwhile, South Carolina got off to a great start with three-straight victories to kick off the season, including a win over the NC State Wolfpack (who just upset the Florida State Seminoles). However, a loss to the Kentucky Wildcats and a close call against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have called South Carolina’s legitimacy into question.
SEC fans should pay attention to teams like South Carolina and Texas A&M moving forward since both are so hard to figure out. Texas A&M showed us a lot last week in the overtime win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Even the SEC East is wide open, outside of the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs.
It’s a big weekend in term of SEC action. Week 4 was the first full week of an SEC slate and Week 5 could be even better. Between all the huge matchups including Georgia-Tennessee, Auburn-Mississippi State, and Ole Miss-Alabama, the South Carolina and Texas A&M contest could get lost.
However, with how many close games the Cocks have played in this year, it’s sure to be a very entertaining game. Both Texas A&M and South Carolina had close calls last week that easily could have gone the other way. Yet, both are looking to avoid racking up their second loss of the season.
