3. Shea Patterson tosses four touchdown passes

Most of the Ole Miss offense has relied squarely on the production of sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson. Running back Jordan Wilkins has seen his role increase, but the ground game has not done too much.

Part of the reason for the huge numbers from Patterson through the first three games of the season is sophomore wide receiver A.J. Brown. Since Brown was held out of Ole Miss’s Week 3 matchup against the Cal Golden Bears, that could have been a factor in the loss.

Brown will be a game-time decision with his knee injury, according to Saturday Down South. It would be huge for Patterson to have Brown in the lineup to look to as his primary target again. In only two games Brown racked up 389 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The one hope that the Rebels have against the Tide is for Patterson to have a game for the ages. Young quarterbacks have given Alabama trouble in the past. Yet, the Alabama defense looks as stout as ever through four games. Patterson will still put up big numbers with how much the Rebels will be throwing.
